About UNL Water Ski
The UNL Water Ski Club is a collegiate, three-event water ski club that competes in the Midwest Region of the National Collegiate Water Ski Association. The club trains, weather permitting, at two sites near Lincoln. No experience is necessary! Skill levels range from first time skiers to nationally ranked and experienced, 3-event athletes. Capitol Beach is a private lake 10 minutes from campus where the club practices behind a 1996 Sport Nautique. The club’s more-advanced skiers practice behind a 2014 MasterCraft ProStar on multiple competition courses in the Lincoln area. Both towboats are university owned-and-maintained through a generous sponsorship agreement with Omaha Marine Center.
UNL Water Ski is supported by sponsors like Omaha Marine Center, member dues, generous community support, and the ASUN (Association of Students of the University of Nebraska) through the UNL Campus Recreation’s Sports Club program.
